I had a real seat fail on one of my ugly stik catfish rods no big deal it was 4 years old most of my gear seldom lasts more than 5 years anyway just due to heavy use. When it arrived i was very disappointed in the manufacturing quality. The ugly stik did the job of bringin in my monster catfish. A sticker that was supposed to be under the rod finish was only half under the finish and the exposed half was peeling up bringing the rod finish with the sticker as it peeled off.
